What happens to my rubbish, the optional garden waste wheelie Part 6

by cllreleanorrylance on 21 November, 2018

10,000 green wheelie bins for garden waste at the Suez plant, spring 2018

Recently a new service was brought in- a garden waste recycling service. We live in a fairly rural area, and many people in the countryside have their own compost heaps or chickens and dogs to eat their scraps, but there a few towns where this isn’t as common.

So East Devon brought in an optional garden waste collection service. It’s a chargeable extra but to be honest, the cost is very reasonable and compares very favourably with taking it to the tip in your car. If you have a garden compost heap you may very well prefer to continue using that, but the service is there if you want it.
