I’m Eleanor Rylance, and I’m honoured to be one of two councillors for Broadclyst Ward in gorgeous East Devon. My ward is huge, and ranges from lovely rural areas, through vibrant villages to very active growth areas including one new town. There are 7 parishes and town councils serving 7,600 residents in this ward, so as you can imagine, my council workload is very varied and interesting!
Issues within the ward range from a lack of public transport, the perennial pothole situation, poor broadband, house build quality, as well as managing the effects of the building of a large number of houses in the ward. I do my best and it’s definitely been a steep learning curve!
In late spring/ early summer, I am trying to get out with a paper newsletter to every household and meet as many residents as I can while the weather is bearable! I look forward to meeting more of you.Leave a comment
